Fic: Conversations and Coffee (PG-13) Barty/Ianto

Title: Conversations and Coffee
Author: Jade
Rating: PG-13
Fandom: Torchwood/Harry Potter
Pairing: Barty/Ianto
Spoilers: None
Summary: The morning after Barty and Ianto sort out 'Erin' the alien. Contains the whole team this time. Pure crack.
A/N: Written while STILL waiting for a reply in an online RPG I'm part of. Is set in an alternate universe in which Barty is part of the team. Sequel to this fic.

"Right, so Erin is all locked up and no one was seriously injured," Jack said, while all the members of the team were sitting in the conference room. Ianto and Barty glared at him. Barty had a scratch down one cheek where the alien had clawed him as he and Ianto were trying to capture it. Ianto was bruised where Barty had pushed him into the bar, after the alien had been contained, and kissed him. "What?" Jack questioned, grinning when Ianto went to make coffee for everyone.

"Nothing," Barty replied, leaning forward and giving Jack a long look. He hissed in pain as Owen started cleaning the scratch with some antiseptic that smelt of lemons. "I'm fine, Doctor."

"Who knows what kind of diseases that alien has in its claws. It's better to be safe than sorry. Hold still, will you?" Owen growled. "And lean back so I can get a better look at you."

"Whatever," Barty muttered, but leaned back anyway as Owen peered closely at him.

"I've gotta know, Barty. Why Erin for a name?" Jack questioned, watching as Owen started to stitch up Barty's cheek.

Barty snorted, earning a sharp smack on his uninjured cheek from Owen. "Ow! This coming from the man who decided Janet would be a suitable name for a weevil." He glared at Owen. "What was that for?"

"I told you to stay still," Owen said, "unless of course, you want me to stich up that mouth of yours as well."

"Uh, no thanks." Barty answered, eying Owen warily while the others hid their laughter behind their hands.

"The question is, what did Erin want in the first place?" Gwen spoke up, shaking her head in dismay at Barty and Owen's arguing.

"To be put on a lead and told that she is a bad maggot?" Ianto stated as he came into the  room, carrying a tray of coffee cups.

"That's my line," Jack groused playfully, grinning at Ianto when he handed him his coffee. "Thanks. I'll question her after this to find out."

"Speaking of which, did you enjoy having Barty on a lead last night and leading him around like a bad puppy, Ianto?" Tosh asked suddenly as Ianto handed out the rest of the coffees.

Ianto stared at her. "How...?"

Jack grinned. "CCTV outside the club. We saw you arguing and then Barty getting put on the leash and dragged inside."

"That was only so we could get in," Barty protested, absently reaching up to touch his, now, collarless neck. "I'm not a puppy."

"What happened inside?" Tosh asked, obviously interested.

"Nothing much. We just tracked down Erin and that was it," Ianto replied, giving Barty a look and recieved an identical one in return.

Owen pulled back and admired his handiwork. "All done."

"Finally," Barty teased, reaching for his coffee. "Now can I have my coffee in peace?"

"You are such a coffee addict," Owen stated, watching Barty sip his coffee. "I could feel you were about ready to pounce on the coffee. Not that you're the only one around here, mind."

"That's not the only thing I can't get enough of," Barty answered cheekily and wiggled his eyebrows.
